Clearer information before important decisions are final.
For more than 20 years, Chad Cromwell, CPA has worked with business owners, investors and families facing tax, financial and ownership decisions that cannot always be solved by looking at a tax return alone. Cromwell Wealth Strategies was built to provide direct, independent CPA guidance before those decisions become difficult to change.
WHY CROMWELL WEALTH STRATEGIES
Built from years of seeing important decisions happen too late.
Over the course of more than two decades in public accounting, Chad saw the same pattern repeatedly: smart, successful people often received plenty of information but too little coordinated advice before a major decision. The tax return was prepared after the transaction. The attorney handled the legal documents. The investment professional handled the assets. The business owner was left trying to connect the pieces.
Cromwell Wealth Strategies was created to work earlier in that process. The goal is to understand the full situation, identify the tax and financial consequences, challenge assumptions, compare realistic alternatives, and coordinate with the other professionals involved before the decision is final.
The work is intentionally direct. Clients work with Chad, not through layers of staff. The person learning the situation is the person helping evaluate it.
CPA experience, business ownership and practical perspective.
Chad is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in tax, accounting, business advisory and client service. He founded, built and operated Lakeside Financial Group, a multi-location CPA practice serving individuals, business owners, real estate investors and closely held companies. After more than 15 years of ownership, he sold the practice in 2020 and shifted his focus toward higher-value planning and advisory work.
Today, through Cromwell Wealth Strategies, Chad focuses on business advisory, financial oversight, business exits, appreciated assets, significant capital gains, real estate transactions, tax-deferral planning and complex owner decisions. He also founded Think Twice Tax, an online IRS notice guidance platform built around structured CPA-designed workflows and technology-assisted service delivery.

The objective is better decisions, not more complexity.
Good advisory work starts with the facts. What is happening? What decision is approaching? What are the tax, financial and ownership consequences? Which assumptions are driving the analysis? What changes if those assumptions are wrong?
The value is often in timing. Before a business sale, real estate transaction, ownership change or other major financial event, there may still be choices available. After the transaction closes, many of those choices may disappear.
The goal is to make the tradeoffs understandable enough that the client can act with confidence, while bringing in attorneys, investment professionals, lenders, bookkeepers or other specialists when the situation requires them.
Complex situations should become understandable choices. The work is to identify what actually matters and explain it in a way the client can use.
Technical knowledge matters, but so does knowing which issues deserve attention, which assumptions need to be challenged and when another professional should be involved.
Cromwell Wealth Strategies does not sell investment products or earn commissions for recommending them. The advisory work is focused on the client's facts, goals and decisions.
